THE CITY OF WALHALLA IS TAKING APPLICATIONS FOR A FULL-TIME MUNICIPAL COURT CLERK.  A HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE AND ONE YEAR EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE THAT WOULD PROVIDE THE REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES NECESSARY TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION. KNOWLEDGE OF MICROSOFT EXCEL, WORD, AND BE FLUENT WITH COMPUTERS; ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY VERBALLY AND IN WRITING; ABILITY TO WORK UNDER PRESSURE AND/OR FREQUENT INTERRUPTIONS. MUST HAVE ABILITY TO DEAL WITH DEFENDANTS IN POTENTIALLY CONFRONTATIONAL SITUATIONS. MAY ASSIST OTHER DEPARTMENTS WITH FUNCTIONS AS NEEDED. DEMONSTRATE GOOD ORGANIZATION SKILLS, ABILITY TO LEARN COMPLEX COURT PROCESS AND MEET DEADLINES.     –  MUST OCCASIONALLY LIFT AND/OR MOVE UP TO 25 LBS. MUST POSSESS A VALID SC DRIVER’S LICENSE.
