Yesterday we finished the major demo of the streets from Spring and Ann. We also poured part of the concrete in the road crossings.
Today we will finish the concrete pouring in the road crossings. South College will be closed part of the day because of the amount of crossing that we have to dig out and pour concrete in. It should be back open mid afternoon. Electrical work is continuing. A shutdown of the Police Station and Martha’s is scheduled for 6:00 AM for about 2 hours. This is to change over the electrical feed from overhead to underground on some of the businesses. The stop light at College and Main will be out also. City Police will be working that intersection.
Did anyone notice that one new streetlight was installed? No power to it yet. Waiting on Duke Power. There will be more installed today.
