DESCRIPTION:Join us as we go back to the 1950s to celebrate\, inspire and support our cancer survivors and their families. The Oconee County Cancer Survivors Day – Rockin Around Cancer is Saturday\, June 6\, 11am – 1pm at Oconee Memorial Hospital connector/dining area.  This event will feature two cancer survivors sharing their story of courage\, bravery and perseverance throughout their cancer journey. Other fun activities include a hula hoop contest\, games\, 1950s dance music\, food/drink. At 1pm\, we will do our parade of survivors on the OMH Walking Trail in front of the hospital.  Come support and celebrate our local cancer survivors!

We’ll celebrate milestones\, hear personal stories of courage\, bravery during cancer journeys and bring awareness to the challenges faced by cancer survivors and their families. Other fun activities include a hula hoop contest\, dancing to 1950s music\, games\, food/drink.  The event will conclude with a Survivors Parade on the OMH Walking Trail.   This event honors all cancer survivors\, adults and pediatric patients.

Composed of Ellie\, Lily\, and Powell Balkcom\, the group blends blood harmony with back-porch honesty\, creating a sound that’s as timeless as it is current. \nRaised on gospel\, bluegrass\, and the stories of small-town life\, The Castellows found their collective voice in 2022\, quickly gaining traction with stripped-down covers and original songs shared across social media. DESCRIPTION:Chi-Town Transit Authority\, The Premier Chicago Tribute Band returns to the WPAC this Fathers Day Weekend to put on another fantastic\, high energy performance of those classic Chicago tunes!\n \nChi-Town Transit Authority is an 8-piece Chicago Tribute band based out of Atlanta\, Ga. Established in 2017 and dedicated to reproducing the “Chicago” concert experience. Chi-Town features a tight horn and woodwinds section which are combined with dynamic vocals and harmonies to fill the stage with the spectacular sounds of the legendary band\, Chicago. Chi-Town performs all of the familiar hits and famous songs covering over 4 decades of music. These songs are guaranteed to revive memories and bring down the house\, commanding encores and standing ovations with every audience.\n\nThis show is a Fundraiser for the Knights of Columbus Charities\, sponsored by Council #6884. “In Service to One\, In Service to All”.
