Walhalla Disc Golf Course at Sertoma Park and Fields

This course offers a 18 hole experience with some water that is in play.  The course is over 4200 feet long.

In 2024, over 3240 rounds were played at the Sertoma Field Disc Golf Course according to an app called UDisc.  UDisc only collects information from players who choose to use the app so the complete count could be much higher. There were 535 unique players from 27 states across the country. The Sertoma course was opened in 2008. UDisc started collecting statistics in 2016. Over the years there have been 17,690 rounds played and more than 60 million steps taken on the course according to the app.  In 2023 UDisc recorded 21.9 million rounds of disc golf.

Disc golf is designed to be enjoyed by people of all ages and economic status, making it a great lifetime fitness activity. Because disc golf is so easy to learn, no one is excluded; players merely match their pace to their capabilities and proceed from there. Because of its accessibility and increasing popularity the city has plans to increase activity at the Sertoma course and build another course. Courses are inexpensive to build and maintain because they are meant to be part of the existing landscape. The mountainous terrain in and around the city of Walhalla creates unique possibilities when designing a course.

Directions to the course: Hwy 28 north from Seneca; in Walhalla, take Hwy 183 (N Catherine St) for 1 mile to Sertoma Field on the right.  The road is named Tulip Drive for GPS users.  Walk around the gate in back of parking lot to service road to 1st tee. Use bridge over river to 1st target. Follow wooden arrow signs to other tees.

The course at Sertoma is maintained by the Walhalla PRT Department and monitored by the Walhalla Police Department.
