John A. Wagner Award
This award honors individuals or groups whose activities during the previous calendar year have directly contributed to the civic advancement of Walhalla and its citizens. Named after John A. Wagner, the founder of Walhalla, this award recognizes outstanding contributions to the community.
Open to individuals or groups whose actions have demonstrably benefited the advancement of the City of Walhalla and the well-being of its residents.
Nominees do not need to reside within Walhalla city limits.
Prior winners are ineligible for five years following their award.
Nominations open January 1, 2025.
Reviewed by a selection committee of three to seven Walhalla citizens.
Winners announced at the annual “State of Walhalla” event.
$1,000 cash prize and a recognition plaque.
Winners’ names will also be displayed on a plaque in City Hall.
