Hospitality Tax Program
A 2% local hospitality tax (HTAX) is imposed on prepared meals and beverages within City limits. These funds may be used for tourism related events and programs within the City. The HTAX Grant program provides financial support to organizations and projects whose primary mission is to attract tourists by promoting dining and overnight accommodations within the incorporated City of Walhalla. The HTAX Grant program is a competitive grants program that provides HTAX funds to eligible organizations. The amount available for each fiscal year’s grant program is subject to change through the City’s budget process.
