Visit Oconee is excited to announce that Walhalla’s Stumphouse Mountain Bike Park will host its first-ever sanctioned race event on Sunday, November 16th, as part of the Go Nuts regional race series. This milestone marks an exciting moment for Oconee County, as the event brings competitive mountain biking to one of South Carolina’s most scenic and challenging trail systems.
The Go Nuts series hosts races across the Southeast and Midwest, drawing both seasoned and recreational riders who enjoy pushing their limits on diverse terrain. This will be the organization’s first time hosting in South Carolina, giving racers a new opportunity to experience Stumphouse’s rugged singletrack, technical climbs, and thrilling descents surrounded by the Blue Ridge foothills.
Approximately 100 participants are expected to compete, with riders and spectators traveling from across neighboring states. As host, Visit Oconee looks forward to welcoming athletes and visitors to Walhalla and showcasing the community’s outdoor recreation opportunities, local hospitality, and beautiful natural setting. This event highlights Oconee County’s growing reputation as a premier mountain biking destination in the Southeast.
