Walhalla, SC – On January 7, Mayor Tim Hall announced the 2026 committee assignments and leadership roles for the year, marking a renewed commitment to collaboration, transparency, and community-driven governance.
The newly appointed committee chairs and members will guide policy development, oversee critical city functions, and ensure that the Council’s work reflects the needs and aspirations of residents. Committees will focus on key areas including public safety, infrastructure, parks & recreation, city finances, planning & economic development.
2026 Committees:
- Public Safety – Chris Grant (Chair), Sarai Melendez and David Underwood
- Public Works – Sarai Melendez (Chair), Jessie Bunning and Lynn McClain
- Public Utilities – David Underwood (Chair), Jessie Bunning and Josh Holliday
- Planning & Community Development – Josh Holliday (Chair), Lynn McClain and Chris Grant
- Finance – Lynn McClain (Chair), Josh Holliday and David Underwood
- Parks, Recreation & Tourism – Jessie Bunning (Chair), Sarai Melendez and Chris Grant
