Walhalla SC – The City of Walhalla is pleased to appoint the very first Walhalla Economic Advisory Committee (WEAC). The purpose of this committee is to provide guidance and recommendations to the City of Walhalla’s City Council regarding economic development strategies, policies, and initiatives that promote sustainable economic growth, improve the business environment, and enhance the overall quality of life for residents and visitors. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Advising on business retention, attraction, and expansion efforts.
- Recommending programs or policies to enhance local economic development.
- Supporting collaboration between the city, local businesses, and community stakeholders.
The committee members were carefully selected, giving thought to those who have been, and are, invested in the City of Walhalla and its surrounding areas for a great length of time. We are honored to welcome the charter members of WEAC who will meet for the first time on Thursday, August 28th at 6PM in the Depot.
