The City of Walhalla Utilities Department has announced that the boil water advisory issued on March 20, 2025 for Fairfield Road, Earlestead Road, Forest Acres Circle, White Cut Road, Santeee Drive, Pickett Post Road and surrounding areas has been lifted, effective immediately.

Following thorough testing and analysis of water samples, it has been confirmed that the water is safe for consumption and all normal uses.

Therefore, residents in the affected area are no longer required to boil their water before using it for:

  • Drinking
  • Cooking
  • Brushing teeth
  • Preparing baby formula
  • Other consumption purposes

Do I need to flush my pipes?

It is recommended that customers impacted allow water to run for several minutes at each tap in order to help flush the lines, but no additional flushing is required. Your regular water use—such as showering, doing laundry, and flushing toilets—has already helped keep water moving through your system.

If you have an automatic ice maker, we recommend discarding any ice made during the advisory and allowing it to produce fresh ice.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this advisory. We understand the inconvenience this may have caused, and we are committed to providing safe and reliable drinking water to our community.
