Yesterday, we had good cooperation with Duke Power that allowed a lot of overhead power to be transferred to underground.
We were able to remove 5 of the old light poles,power up several businesses underground and the lighting of the street lights on the North side of Main Street from Tugaloo and Catherine.
Today our day will be getting ready for Oktoberfest by cleaning up, checking pedestrian walkways, providing traffic devices for the event as well as brooming and washing the streets. Please bear with us on the cleanup process.
